本研究採取行動研究法，探討運用讀者劇場提升國小學童族語學習動機的歷程、成效與教師專業成長。本研究以桃園市瀑布(化名)國民小學四到六年級(混齡班)做為研究對象，進行兩循環為期十二周應用讀者劇場於族語課程教學。以研究者蒐集之泰雅族傳說故事改編成「狩獵的由來」、「彩虹橋」、「人變猴子的傳說」及「貪心的人」四篇劇本做為教材，融入泰雅文化內涵並以讀者劇場模式進行教學。本研究參考巴巧詩以Pintrich等人所提出的語言學習動機面向設計之「族語學習動機量表」作為量化資料。質性資料為研究者在教學歷程中所蒐集之「課程觀察紀錄表」、「學童訪談紀錄」、「同儕教師訪談紀錄」、「教學省思札記」與「課程錄影錄音檔案」。

最後以描述統計進行前測與後測平均數與標準差的分析，並將質性資料進行整理、分析與歸納，作為研究結果之參考。本研究的結論如下：一、 運用讀者劇場於族語教學歷程中所遭遇的困難獲得改善。(1) 教學應聚焦於族語學習，分配好戲劇活動與族語教學的活動比例。(2) 依據學生實際狀況，滾動修正劇本呈現方式，加強族語朗讀流暢性。(3) 營造完整的表演空間，加入場景圖片燈光、道具及音效，投入程度高。(4) 搭配資訊融入教學，提升學生自主學習能力，突破授課時間的限制。(5) 明確訂定排練規範，指派學生個別化任務，提升小組排練成效。二、 運用讀者劇場於族語教學能提升國小學童的族語學習動機（內在動機、族語
