研究者參加2021年春季全國常青田徑競賽,在運動場上感受到高齡者參加競賽的熱情,於是起心動念探詢他們參與競賽的動機,以及參加競賽為他們的生活帶來了甚麼改變。本研究目的係透過訪談6位連續參加全國常青田徑競賽10年以上的高齡者,經由質性訪談的研究分析,探討他們持續參加常青田徑競賽的動機以及在生理、心理及社會參與互動的效益。研究結果發現這些高齡運動員持續參加競賽的動機,首要是為了維持健康,其次為增加與朋友及家人互動、實踐自己持續比賽的承諾和重新享受比賽帶來的高峰經驗,是參賽的附加價值。持續參加競賽明顯地帶來身心及社交互動上的改變,在健康提升方面,可達到保持活動力與免於疼痛及疾病的目的;在心理效益方
